Putting the "Salvation" back in Salvation Army

I did a big thrift store outing on Tuesday. Jim was off work and I was able to go ALL BY MYSELF! I hit all my area stores and found nothing and more of nothing. It was so depressing. All the time in the world, money in my pocket and no kids.
My very last stop and I was beginning to think I was going home empty handed for the day. I was getting ready to walk out the door when I saw this vision in blue vinyl...

I paid my ten dollars and went home a very happy woman.

I love this chair almost as much as I loved the Ghandi movie. :)

I read Ghandi's biography back when I was in, like, fifth grade. Not required reading, mind you. Just me trying to be grown up by reading non-fiction. But even then, I remember thinking, "Wow. Why aren't we learning about this guy in school??"

That chair IS cool. Isn't it always that way, when you finally get the freedom to shop and you can't really find anything you like...

That is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!
Now, if you found one in orange... I'd totally be all over that one as well.

Have you ever heard the Dalai Lama speak? I think he comes closest as far as someone who's Gandhi-like and still living...

Why is it that everything I see at the thrift stores is just crap?
