Ooh, please tell me it came naturally to her!! PN and I are both water lovers and hope that LN will take to swimming early... but neither of us know how to get started - I supposed a pool at home would be a start but...um, yeah, can't afford it! :-P We're going on a short trip out of town in September so will be looking for a hotel with a pool.
It really did come naturally to her. One of the things I made sure to do was, when they were babies, pour water over their heads in the bathtub. That goes a long way in making them comfortable with water.
My Mom had us in the pool when we were tiny. I don't remember ever not being able to swim. Scared of jumping off the diving board? Absolutely. But never scared of the water.
